Kickboxing Classes in Banashankari

Punches, kicks, footwork and pad work, run as a fitness class rather than fight preparation. You learn real technique and get a hard conditioning session out of it — and you are never obliged to spar.

What to expect

A session, start to finish

  1. Skipping and mobility to warm up the shoulders, hips and ankles
  2. Technique work — one or two strikes drilled slowly, then at pace
  3. Pad rounds with a partner, timed
  4. Conditioning finisher and a stretch

Fitness class, not fight camp

The technique taught is real — bad technique on a pad hurts your wrist, so there is no version of this that skips the fundamentals. What is absent is the part people are usually nervous about: nobody is going to hit you. Sparring is not part of the class.

Why it conditions so well

Striking is whole-body and rotational, and pad rounds are naturally interval-shaped: a timed round of continuous work, then rest. You get the conditioning effect of interval training with something to concentrate on other than the clock, which is why people who bounce off HIIT often stay with this.

Questions

Kickboxing — common questions

Will I have to spar or fight?
No. Pad work is done with a partner holding pads, and contact is with the pads only.
I have a wrist or shoulder problem. Can I still train?
Often yes, with the strikes adjusted. Tell the coach before the session rather than during it.
